Inside The Shoe is currently looking for a writer. If you would like to join our staff and write for us, please leave a comment, or email us at insidetheshoe2009@hotmail.com. Hope to hear from you soon!

I started Inside The Shoe in late October of 2009, with no real knowledge of how to "blog". With the help of some friends (11W, tBBC) I was able to become more knowledgeable in the lore and history of the Buckeyes. This blog was inspired to be started by reading Eleven Warriors, which at the time didn't hit me as a fan blog. It was so professionally ran, with humor and just true opinions, but it seemed like something of the  "major network" types. It interested me a lot, so I decided to make my own. That´s when I started to write.

I didn't have a particular reason as to why I thought I could start one, but I said hey, I'm doing it for my opinion to be heard! Along the way, I've had the pleasure of meeting some pretty cool people, some of which were nice enough to join the staff. You can read about them below. We cover Ohio State Football and Basketball, but lean more towards the side of the gridiron.

Ian: Editor/Writer of Inside The Shoe, he had the idea to start it all. Loves to talk and argue about the Buckeyes, and will talk to just about anyone who will listen long enough before they get bored. My whole goal in starting ITS was just to get my opinion out there, and hopefully bring in a readership that I could share my thoughts with, and vice versa. I continue that goal today.

My favorite Buckeye memory was in 2006, when Chris "Beanie" Wells had one of the best runs I've seen, ever, against Michigan in "The Game". The Buckeyes went on to win 42-39, on their way to a National Championship. I also really enjoy playing Texas Hold'em which, if you've never played, can be really fun. I suggest trying it out! You can find my other ramblings and thoughts at @InsideTheShoe

Brady: My name is Brady Coffman. I am a graduate of BGSU and still live in Bowling Green with my wife Alexia, dog Jasper, and two cats. I have been a rabid supporter of Ohio State football my whole life (dad didn't really give me a choice growing up) and also have unhealthy relationships with the Cleveland Browns/Indians. When I am not agonizing over the failures of Cleveland sports or taunting my Michigan friends, I can be found on the golf course or reading a good book.

My favorite Buckeye memory has to be David Boston taunting Charles Woodson (I'll take 15 yard penalties all day to let that traitor have it) and I hope to have many more MNCs to gloat about in the future.

Danny: I lived in Cleveland my entire life, graduated from The Ohio State University in 2010. I still live and work in the Columbus area. In addition to rooting for all Buckeyes teams, I am also a die-hard Cavs and Indians fan, so I have learned to deal with massive disappointment about every 4 months or so.

My favorite Buckeye memory has to be watching Ken Dorsey try and stand up after Matt Wilhelm knocked him senseless in the 2002 Championship game. I love Ohio State basketball, and feel it doesn't get the respect it deserves because it is overshadowed by the football program. I also have an open invitation to Lebron James, to a one on one fight to the death, to which he has yet to respond.

Stephan: My name is Stephan Sharp and I am a sophomore at Ball State in Muncie, Indiana majoring in telecommunications/journalism. I am originally from Greenville, Ohio, about two hours west of Columbus and 45 minutes northwest of Dayton. For as long as I can remember, I have been a Buckeye fan. Although I am a Bengals and Reds fan too, they never seem to be able to consistently come through for me like the Buckeyes do.

My favorite Buckeye football memory is when Anthony Gonzalez went up and made that spectacular catch against Michigan late in the 4th quarter to set up the game-winning touchdown run by Pittman. My favorite Buckeye basketball memory is when Evan "The Villain" Turner made the half-court shot to beat Michigan in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament last year. It may not have been the most important game of the year, but because it was against Michigan and how it made my mood swing from completely furious to in absolute disbelief made it my favorite. Bob: I am a Buckeye by birth. My grandparents and mother are all alums of The Ohio State University, it was my destiny to attend this great school. I am a 1997 alumnus, and next to my family, OSU is my passion. My wife and I planned our wedding around the Michigan game, one of my daughter’s first words was Buckeyes. There is no topic I enjoy talking about, arguing about, or defending more then the Buckeyes. I have traveled all over the country from Pasadena to New Orleans, from Madison to Bloomington to watch the Buckeyes play football, basketball, and volleyball.

I have many great Buckeye memories, but my favorite memory occurred during my senior year. I was able to travel to my hometown of South Bend, sit in Notre Dame Stadium and watch Andy Katzenmoyer and the Buckeyes knock out Notre Dame. I have too many favorite Buckeyes to pick just one, so let’s just say: all of them! If I am watching tv and I see OSU on, it doesn’t matter if it is gymnastics, golf, or fencing, I will watch and I will cheer. Some may say my passion is unhealthy, but I say it could be worse.

Chris: I'm Chris Tonn, and I'm a Buckeye. Grew up in Dublin, graduated from Hilliard. I spent several years as an occasional student at our beloved OSU, where my educational pursuits were derailed by an ironic dislike of writing. I eventually got a business degree from another school, but I lucked into alumni tickets when I married my lovely bride, another ravenous Buckeye football fan. I have two daughters that were both born at OSU, as was I.

Favorite football memory: 1997 Rose Bowl, Germaine to Boston. That was my first freshman year at OSU, though I was too poor (read; working two jobs to pay tuition) to go to Pasadena. I had a student ticket that year, though I sold it before the Michigan game (what was I thinking) because I had to work. Crappy ticket, too: B-deck on the west side of the stadium, behind a pillar. Seems a bunch of people sold their tickets to Wisconsin alumni that year, as that section was PACKED with Badger fans who were all too inclined to share their flasks with a 17 year old freshman. I don't recall much more of that game...I have a dislike of Brent Musberger, and thus much of my Buckeye memories are narrated by Paul Keels. I was stuck in my car for the Purdue game in 2002, because I was "required" to go to a nephew's birthday at Chuck E Cheese's, and they don't have TVs.

Other: I like pina coladas, and getting caught in the rain. Also, I love Cubs baseball, Packers football, and any auto racing that doesn't involve oval tracks. @tonn_chris for other mindless drivel.
