Keenum was a Heisman contender midway through the season but he did not make a 'Case' of that today. His 6 interceptions contributed heavily in Airforce routing Houston 47-20.
The Houston D, not exactly their strength got mauled by the Airforce triple action that ran, take this, 400 yards on em. Add another 162 yards through the air and the rout was complete. Like most teams that run the wishbone, airforce held a distinct advantage in time of possession : 42 min to Houston's 18.
Airforce had lead 24-6 at the half and the second half started with Houston returning the kickoff for a touchdown but Airforce returned the ensuing kickoff for a TD and the game had turned into a track meet at that time. Airforce then continued where it had left off in the first half, picking Keenum off, gaining yards on the ground until the clock ran out.
And with this win, the Mountain West Conference is now 4-0 in the postseason and things don't look for Boise against TCU in the only remaining bowl game for the MWC. Willy Mays couldn't have made a better case for the MWC to be declared a BCS automatic qualifier. C-USA is 3-2 in the post season with conference champion East Carolina taking on the Razorbacks in the Liberty Bowl later in the week.
