ITS's BlogPoll Ballot: Week 6

Out of the weekends played so far in College football, I have to say that this is weekend by far, was the one that really showed me who's here to compete for a championship and who's here to "Shock the World". Surprisngly, that quote doesn't just refer to Ohio State. LSU got off with a BYE, but Alabama, Wisconsin, Clemson, and Arkansas are the huge winners of this weekend. Texas A&M, South Carolina, and some others had some tough losses, that will be hard to overlook late this season. Let's get on to the rankings, and be sure to leave your thoughts and comments to keep in mind for next week's rankings!

Inside The Shoe Ballot - Week 6

RankTeamDelta
LSU Tigers - The Tigers get off with an easy win over Kentucky, but once again will have to prove themselves against the Florida Gators. Up Next: #23 Florida--
Alabama Crimson Tide - A convincing 38-10 win over the Gators in the Swamp moves the Crimson Tide into 2nd, and they show no signs of stopping. Up Next: Vanderbilt Arrow_up 1
Oklahoma Sooners - Landry Jones had 5 throwing touchdowns in the massacre of Ball State, as the Sooners won 62-6. They aren't playing teams like Florida, which is why they happen to move down this week. Up Next: #11 TexasArrow_down -1
Stanford Cardinal - Andrew Luck once again provided another showcase and reason for him to win the Heisman trophy this year as the Cardinal speed past UCLA 45-19. Up Next: Colorado--
Wisconsin Badgers - The Badgers embarrassed the Cornhuskers after the first quarter or so, 48-17. This Wisconsin team is scary, the end. Up Next: BYE Arrow_up 2
Oklahoma St. Cowboys - The Cowboys had a BYE one week after taking down A&M. Up Next: Kansas--
Boise St. Broncos - While the Broncos did nothing wrong in their 30-10 domination of Nevada, Boise State will move down 2 spots to make room for the more impressive teams. Georgia seems so long ago. Up Next: Fresno StateArrow_down -2
Oregon Ducks - The Ducks move up a spot inching closer back into the Top 5 after a BYE week. Up Next: CaliforniaArrow_up 1
Clemson Tigers - The Tigers are proving to be THE underdogs of the year, as they continue to roll past ranked opponents, this time in impressive fashion against then ranked #11 Virginia Tech. Up Next: Boston CollegeArrow_up 4
Arkansas Razorbacks - The Razorbacks have sneaked their way back into the Top 10 after upsetting A&M in a 42-38 shootout. Up Next: #18 AuburnArrow_up 7
Texas Longhorns - The Longhorns have improved steadily over every game this year, this time easily handling undefeated Iowa State 37-14. Up Next: #3 Oklahoma Arrow_up 7
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets - The Yellow Jacket's triple option attack is befuddling defense's once again as GT wins over NC State 45-35. Up Next: MarylandArrow_up 9
Michigan Wolverines - Denard Robinson is still uninjured after week 1 of October, and the Wolverines are 5-0 after wrecking the Gophers 58-0. Up Next: NorthwesternArrow_up 6
Nebraska Cornhuskers - The Cornhuskers could muster no offense for the better part of the night, and the defense didn't look tough sans the first quarter. Some soul searching must be done in Columbus. Up Next: Ohio StateArrow_down -6
Illinois Fighting Illini - Illinois is 5-0 for the first time in forever, after escaping Northwestern with a 38-35 win. Up Next: Indiana Arrow_up 8
Kansas St. Wildcats - The Wildcats took down RG3 and the Baylor Bears, almost knocking them off ITS's BlogPoll ballot, and perhaps a Heisman ballot for 1 sensational QB. Up Next: Missouri Arrow_up 8
South Carolina Gamecocks - Steve Spurrier's squad disappointed many fans, including myself, and I'm not even a fan. A talented group fell to Auburn, but somehow remains above the Tigers. Up Next: KentuckyArrow_down -6
Auburn Tigers - A sensational win that could prove to fans across the nation that the Tigers aren't done after one loss. That one loss to Clemson isn't looking too bad now. Up Next: #10 Arkansas--
West Virginia Mountaineers - Admist the colossal shift in college football over the weekend, the Mountaineers had a quiet 55-10 win over Bowling Green. Up Next: Connecticut Arrow_up 3
Virginia Tech Hokies - The Hokies couldn't stop the Tigers sensational offensive attack, and perhaps more telling, couldn't score many points at all. VT needs to change something to run the table now. Up Next: Miami (FL)Arrow_down -10
Florida St. Seminoles - The Seminoles got a BYE, but had to make room for the upper tier teams falling. Shame. Up Next: Wake ForestArrow_down -1
Arizona St. Sun Devils - The Sun Devils keep the winning train rolling, and much like Auburn, that loss to Illinois is turning out pretty good. Up Next: UtahArrow_up 3
Florida Gators - The Gators drop big, after starting out so well against the Crimson Tide. It's obvious they were prepared to shock Alabama in the first quarter. After that, they seemed to disappear. Up Next: #1 LSUArrow_down -11
Michigan St. Spartans - The Spartans had very little offense in a cold, soggy day at the 'Shoe. Only pulling out 10-7, Michigan State will have to do better against upper tier teams in the future to stay in this poll. Up Next: BYE--
Baylor Bears - RG3 wasn't enough in this game, even though he played great. He did throw his first pick of the year, but still has more touchdowns than interceptions. Wow. Up Next: Iowa StateArrow_down -10
Dropouts: Texas A&M Aggies, South Florida Bulls

Receiving Votes: Houston, Texas Tech, North Carolina
