On a day where the offense in the first quarter made many Ohio State fans flip to watch the intresting turn of events in Iowa, the Buckeyes clamped down hard on the victimized Aggie defense, scoring 28 points in the 2nd quarter alone. The 1st obviously, the Aggies deserve a pat on the back. Terrelle Pryor opened up with a huge 43 yard pass to Posey, but soon after that, a punt was upon the 104,000 strong. During the third possession though, Ohio State fans were given a trick, as well as a treat. The treat had to have some fans in the Shoe wondering if Posey is fast enough to start running a Wildcat formation. In the 3rd quarter, OSU would put up 17 more making it 45-0, despite 4 missed FG's. 2 of them came from Devin Barclay who is the teams 3rd string kicker, due to Ben Buchanens non-dressing.
The Ohio State defense got their 3rd shutout of the year, the first time since 1996, and got a defensive TD when Austin Spitler grabbed the ball loose, and Brian Rolle jumped on it in the endzone. The defense continues to impress the nation, as they did aganist USC. We will need the Silver Bullets once it comes to these final three games. If we win out, it might be a rosy future for Jim Tressell and the Buckeyes.
Finally, the storyline that is starting to grab some attention is the news of Terrelle Pryor being healthy or not. TP left the first half and Joe Bauserman played the entire 2nd half, and nobody seemed to worried, figuring Jim Tressell wanted to sit his QB for the 3 pivotal B10 games ahead, but after the game was over, when Pryor was asked about it, he commented on being hit hard in his hamstring, but said he was fine. Whether this was Tressel being overcautious, or Tressell trying to hide something, we, as Buckeye fans have to generally worry. Can Terrelle Pryor be at his best aganist PSU, Iowa, and TTUN? We will keep you up to date with information regarding Pryor and the Buckeyes, but still, keep your fingers crossed.
