Ohio State vs. New Mexico State.

Will Terrelle Pryor and the offense step up their game?

This year, New Mexico State comes on halloween day to take on the Buckeyes at the Shoe. This is the first time NMSU has faced a Big Ten team since 1995 when they lost to Iowa 59-21. It will be intresting to see how they handle this, as it is the first time they have ever faced the Buckeyes.
Another side note is that Head Coach Jim Tressel will be looking for his 90th win since the beginning of Tresselball.

OFFENSE
The win should come fairly easily as the Aggies bring one of the worst offenses in the country aganist a stoic defense. As for the Buckeyes, it really boils down to the offense. Can Terrelle keep the momentum from the Minnesota game going? Even with the loss of Justin Boren for this week, we should be fine as we get Brandon Saine back. A big question facing this offense is the progression of Pryor and if he will be ready to take on and beat Penn St. and take on the rest of November. As for the WR's, I expect we will see a lot of Devier Posey again like we did in the Minnesota game, but i also would like to more of Sanzenbacher. Earlier in the year, Pryor seemed to have a great connection with him, and would find him open on almost every passing play. Now he seems to shy away from him a bit more, but it most likely has to do with the fact that Pryor's confidence must be down. TP did get a boost last game aganist the Gophers, but look for him to have another Toledo game.

DEFENSE
The Silver Bullets have faced another loss, this time going to Andrew Sweat. Sweat, who injured his knee, is out for the remainder of the season. Look for Etienne Sabino to take his place. The rest of this defense should have no problem in taking care of the Aggies. Just look at the stats. The Buckeyes defense ranks in the top 25 in six categories including total defense (13th), scoring defense (7th), rushing defense (10th), sacks (16th), pass efficiency defense (15th), and turnover margin (23rd). Lately, Thad Gibson and Kurt Coleman have really stepped up when needed. The defense needs to stay hot in novemeber when they go to Penn St. and take on Iowa, and close the season with TTUN.

Prediction
This will be a test game for the offense, and i truly believe that they will step up and answer the call. This game will most likely end in a treat for the Buckeyes, as in the Shoe, there are rarely any tricks. The real question in this game, is will they be able to progress enough to handle the next big games. If they can, look out Rose Bowl. Expect a big Buckeye win here in the Shoe, 35-3.

Happy Halloween!
