Okay, so here we are. A new year is upon us, the Buckeye football team is preparing for what should be an exciting rose bowl matchup, while the buckeye hoops team opens up big ten play in one of the toughest Big Ten venues this afternoon at the Kohl Center at 2pm. If your like me then your probably feeling a little queesy about this matchup. Rightfully so, i mean the Buckeyes havent been world beaters when going up against the Badgers especially at the Kohl Center. The Bucks have dropped 7 straight in Madison and without the services of Evan Turner...aka "The Villian" it could easily be 8 straight. However, there is some hope for tOSU. The Badgers are not very deep and are not overly talented, but they make up with that with gritt and by staying very fundamentaly sound. Travon Hughes is the heart and soul of this Badger squad, so look for P.J. Hill to play extended minutes defending him. Hill's play today will be the key, if he is able to take care of the ball and play defense like we are accustomed to seeing him play then the buckeyes will be in good position to steal a road win which as we all know is very hard to do in this league. Ohio State will look to push the ball with the wing players and will someone please PLEASE!!! tell David Lighty that if he wants any resemblance of a basketball career, after his tenure at Ohio State is done, then he needs to stop chucking up 3 balls and attack the rim. He has so much talent and is very difficult to guard when he is going to the basket. Even though Turner is out for a few games this Buckeye team is still talented enough to steal a couple of good wins till "the Villian" returns. Look for a very physical and low score game and also if anyone happens to see Jon Diebler around please tell him there is a game this afternoon, since he has been incognito the last few games. My prediction: I think tOSU will make this a very close game, but it is simply to hard to win a road game in the big ten against a good team without your best player. I hope im wrong, but i look for the Bucks to go down in similar fashion as in the Butler loss. 58-54 Wisky takes this one!!
