The Clemson Tigers beat the Kentucky Wildcats 21-13 in the Music City Bowl prompting the Tiger fans to sing "I Think I'll Just Stay Here and Drink". The heralded CJ Spiller did his part rushing, receiving and returning punts/kicks to total 184 yards and a TD and coach Dabo Swinney was reminded of Ronnie Milscap singing "What a difference you've made in my team" or something like that. Kentucky kept it close in the first half and narrowed the deficit to 1 point early in the second half but then the Clemson D tightened up leading Rich Brooks to think that they were the inspiration behind Vern Gosdin's 'Chiseled in Stone'. The turning point in the game came when Kentucky WR McCaskill caught a pass and was humming Waylon Jennings's 'I'm a rablin Man' as he tried to turn up-field when Clemson knocked the ball loosed and recovered leading to the only turnover of the game. Clemson scored soon and did not look back. Kentucky fans heard Elvis Presley's "Heartbreak Hotel" play in the background.
After the game it was time for Kentucky coach Rich Brooks to sing Hank Snow's 'I'm movin on' as he announced his retirement. It was time for CFB and Eddy Arnold to hum 'Then you can tell me Goodbye". Thank you Rich Brooks for your legacy. You rejuvenated the Oregon Ducks in your stay at Eugene, you reminded people that Kentucky also plays football and we wish you well.
