So the PAC-10 gets a win after embarrassing losses to Cal and Oregon State. It wasn't the prettiest but the 'W' is what counts at the end of the day. The trojans let the eagle soar for one quarter only to clip its wings entirely in the second half.
To me the turning point in the game was the BC fumble after Matt Barkley had thrown an INT which had been returned to inside the Trojan 10. If the Eagles had punched it in, who knows, I'd have been writing about a successful conquest to the Jesuits from out East. It was not to be and the Eagles turned the ball right back. Later in the game, when BC returned the favor with a Shinskie INT at midfield, Pete Carroll responded with a bomb down the middle which was caught by their star receiver Damian Williams in triple coverage. And that right there guys, was the difference in the game. The Trojans punched it in on a BC turnover while the Eagles out of benevolence in the holiday season turned the ball back after a turnover. The amount of times the RB and QB for BC were hitting the turf, I am sure their laundry bills will be greater than the total points scored by the Eagles
Random thought of the day - Why would u play in a baseball stadium with several football fields at ur disposal in the Bay Area - 49ers and the Raiders have their fields right?
