More thoughts on Maurice Clarrett.

Maurice Clarrett is filing for early release out of prison. You all know the reason he was in there, so I won't go over the ugly details. My thoughts are to let him go, as he should have learned his lesson by now, seeing as he will most likely never see the NFL again, although he doesn't seem to think that. I would go ahead and tell you to join the "Free Maurice Clarrett" campaign on Twitter, or, if you still are a Clarrett fan, head on over to the 11W shop for the Free Maurice Clarrett shirt. I do believe he was, or at least could have been, as good as Archie Griffen. He was sure to win the Heisman his sophomore year, if he would have played. No telling where he would have stopped during his junior year. (Obviously if he didn't want to stay for his sophomore yeare, why would he stay for his senior?) Even when he did try to leave, if he was so intent on becoming an NFLer why did he mess around

Either way, it's frustrating for Buckeye fans, as we could have had 2 more National Championships. It's really to bad when someone with his level of talent can't be used to his advantage. He seems like he is a different person then when he took those guns and a car with a Grey Goose bottle, but maybe that's because he has no other choice. Maurice Clarrett, does have a blog they let him up-keep in prison, apparently. He has blogged the entire way through. It seems to me he is typing from the soul, seeing as every post is short and has some sort of reflection on his past actions and such.

He seems to be very intelligent, and it causes some confusion as to why he did all those terrible things. Lately, though, Maurice has fallen to the point where he hasn't posted anything since August of 2009. It could be he is to busy trying to work himself out. He has said repeatedly that he is staying in football shape, but what NFL team would take him? He could go to another league, but he won't get nearly the amount of exposure he so badly wants. If I were to say he did something, it would be trying to go to as many events that the NFL would give him and try and get in. Even if it's a practice squad. He needs something to do, otherwise, he is going to end up right where he started.
