The 2nd biggest announcement for Ohio State Football today.

I'll have to admit, in my own mind it's a very close 2nd to the verbal commitment of one 6'2 and 3/4" Laser armed, rocket powered legged Braxton Miller who will surely lead the Buckeyes to at least 20 national championship, but I digress. It is with great pride and gratitude that I would like to verbally commit to writing for Inside The Shoe after recieving a written offer from Ian. Now, I haven't gotten my shoulder inked up like Braxton but I'm looking forward to contributing my own special brand of ultra-homerism, Tressel loyalty(never forget 2-10-1) and otherwise stereotypical views on Ohio State Football for this fine interweb publication. Since you'll be spending tons of time with me, I figure it's nice to let you get to know me. Besides, I love to talk about myself.
  1. I was born and raised in Columbus. The West side to be exact, although I will say since I left before 10th grade to move to the booming metropolis of Marysville it certainly has gone downhill.
  2. I graduated from The Ohio State University in 2007, it only took me 5 year. In fact, I passed one class my final quarter by less than 5 points. Never take an upper-level stats class that you NEED to graduate during your last quarter. Trust me, it's not worth losing sleep over.
  3. My favorite Buckeye is and will most likely always be Eddie George. I'll never forget the 1995 season and his game against Illinois in the shoe. I was not quite a teenager, growing up in Columbus and to me he was the best thing on earth. Also, I love his bar/restaurant on campus.
  4. I am admittedly not a huge OSU basketball fan. It's not that I don't like basketball, it's just that it's very hard to catch any of the games out here on the west coast and that there are so many of them. I do catch them whenever they're on though. Fun Fact: I grew up on the same street as Michael Redd and his family.
  5. I hate Desmond Howard, his stupid smile makes me want to punch him in his stupid face. The fact that he is on College Game Day makes me consider not watching it.
  6. I think Penn State fans are silly. When the time comes I'll go in to my "hate but not "in hate" with you dissertation". I understand that since scUM is having a lil rough patch that they think "AH-HA! Now we get to be OSU's rival!" But no! No you don't! Bad Penn State fan! Back to the corner! You're not even little brother, your 2nd cousin at most. Nothing makes a Ninny Lion fan more mad than when you tell them that. Also, I was at the infamous "poo pants" game. :D
That's about all I can come up with at this point in time. I'm looking forward to interjecting some of my thoughts here, and hopefully not sounding like a complete moron. Also, I do solemnly swear not to drink and blog. So no posting on Saturday for me when I will have been at the bar since 8:30 am or so to catch a noon EST kick-off.
