Former Buckeyes at Jets Camp ready for the season.
Training Camps Battle - Jets
With NFL play arriving in two months, the off-season gets to the the more exciting part, as the training camp battle hits the stage for every team in the league. Of course, NFL.com will have all your coverage.
NFL Betting fanatics should pay attention to the Jets, not only because of their amazing roster, which includes former Buckeyes such as Vernon Gholston, Santonio Holmes, and Nick Mangold. The spot to watch especially is the running back position battle where one experience player faces a young new weapon.
I'm thinking Shonn Green is going to be the starter over LaDainian Tomlinson because he is bigger and younger, but also could be a better option for the Jets offense in the long run.
The idea for New York is that Green can soften up the opposing defenses because he is stronger than LT, then when the defense is tired, Tomlinson can come in to do what he knows best, which is scoring rushing touchdowns in the red zone.
This Jets offensive line will help Tomlinson be better than last year, because let's face it, they are more of a running team than the Chargers will ever be, plus, he has better teammates as far as supporting cast goes.
The Jets also signed big contracts with free agent D'Brickashaw Ferguson and 2nd round draft pick Vladimir Ducasse, and will be key players for the running attack.
