| Another academy award winning performance for the Rock. We can't smell what you're cooking. |
Who: Miami Hurricanes. Undergraduate population of about 9,800. Formerly wore fatigues on airplanes. The terrorists have won, as that is now frowned upon.
What: 2nd game of the season, derpp.
When: Saturday at 3:40 EST
Where: Ohio Stadium. ESPN/ABC depending on where you are.
Why: It's fun!
The Hurricanes enter the game ranked 12th in the AP poll, their highest ranking since... well, I won't go there. It's a touchy subject when your favorite team is responsible for the demise of another's via a single game. 4th year head coach, and former Miami player, Randy Shannon has this team on the rise. After going 5-7 in hist first year he has improved his team to 7-6 in 2008 and 9-4 last season where they made it back in to the top 25 in what seemed like years. No conference championships, no bowl wins, but a marked improvement to the end of the Coker years.
The bad news for Jacory? A green offensive line, which wasn't the best unit in 2009 and his starting running back is out with an injury. It's all on Jacory. The Heisman campaign either lives or dies on Saturday. You want to be the man? Well here's your chance. National TV, on the road against the number 2 team in the country. Not to mention Ohio State's defense is one of the best in the country.
On defense the Hurricanes have to match up against one of the better offenses in the country. Terrelle Pryor has a lot to weapons to throw to, and if last Saturday was any sort of evidence, he'll be doing exactly that. Can The Canes get through the OSU offensive line? Can they slow down Boom, Zoom, Berry, Hyde, and the Mini Fridge? What if Pryor leaks out? Can they cover Posey, Sanz, Stoneburner and the running backs? I wouldn't want to be the Miami defensive coordinator. Obviously, I think the Buckeyes hold an advantage.
What do I want to see?- Jacory on his back a lot. When you pressure Harris, he makes mistakes and he is not the best runner. Hit him early and hit him often.
- OSU winning in the tranches on both sides of the ball. Offensive and Defensive line units must win this battle so that the Buckeyes can win the war.
- Terrelle Pryor: 300+ yards 3+ touchdowns. I don't care how the yards come, 250 pass 50 rushing sounds nice. 2 TDs through the air, one on the ground works too.
- Use Stoneburner early, and don't forget about him. Last week OSU threw to the TE. It's a miracle. But there were about 2 quarters(or so it seemed) where he didn't see a ball. Stoney's a mismatch for a LB to cover.
- A Better kicking game. Nuff said
- Better kick coverage. Ditto.
- 500 yards or more of total offense. If OSU is a dominant team, they need to impose their will on other teams.
- 10 point of more win.
- Win the turnover battle and capitalize off of Miami turnovers.
- Tyler Moeller, the human missile.
- Cam will have ribs for dinner. Again.
- Harris will throw at least one interception due to pressure from the Ohio State defensive line.
- Pryor will net at least 300 yards of offense and 3 touchdowns. I think all three will come through the air.
- Pryor will hit multiple targets, spreading the ball around and keeping the Miami defense.
- Saine will have 150 total yards. 100 - 125 or so rushing and 25+ receiving.
- OSU covers the spread.
- Stoneburner catches more than 3 passes.
- OSU wins.
- Jim Tressel with pump his fist in excitement.
