Well that was fun. The Buckeye faithful started the party as soon as the game ended. A big Buckeye win will do wonders for the National Title hopes in Columbus. Ohio State has won eight straight games when ranked second in the AP poll, so I guess when we're good, we're good. One of the keys to our success yesterday in the 'Shoe was our defense. With JaFOURy Harris throwing 4 interceptions (one at a key point in the red zone) and the returns pretty good, the Buckeyes rolled on with great field position.

Jim Tressel was excellent, with the right plays at the right time. Terrelle Pryor threw for 233 yards and a TD and ran for 113 yards and a TD as the Buckeyes improved to 27-2 at home under Jim Tressel against nonconference opponents. That's an impressive record at home. The only bad part of the game was the special teams and even then, Devin Barclay tied a school record for 5 made FG's in a game. He almost had 6, but punched it left.

A couple of things that really stood out.

- Chimdi Chekwa should get the game ball. With 2 INT's, one a really great heads up play, Chekwa changed the game momentum at least a couple of times.

- Devon Torrence needs to work on his tackling. I saw at least 5 missed tackles on his part, and they all blew up for huge gains.

- Terrelle Pryor didn't have the Heisman performance we all expected, but he did have a Heisman performance. 12 of 27 isn't great, but the Miami defense flew around the ball. Granted, he had a couple of deep beauties, including a 62 yarder to DeVier Posey.

- Boom Herron kept the running game present. I'm not sure, but I think Brandon Saine was hurt for most of the game. After the touchdown he caught from Pryor, we didn't see too much of him, except in the 4th quarter.

- Jaamal Berry continue to impress at Kick Return, while fans are vying for him to get more time at running back. Well, the next couple of weeks he'll get his chance, as the Buckeyes move to cruise control aganist Ohio and then Eastern Michigan.

- The defense is good. I mean, really good. If the defense plays like this all year, we should have the best one. They only gave up 1 touchdown the entire game! If it wasn't for Special Teams, this game would/could have been a blow out.

- Finally, I already mentioned this, the Special teams is god awful. Missed tackles, missed opportunities, and Tressel has got to get this under control. This is a championship caliber team, and we can't have a unit dragging us down. Things could get too close for comfort. Your guy's thoughts?
