Recap: Ohio State 43, Ohio 7

The Buckeyes came out firing on all cylinders Saturday afternoon as they took on the Bobcats for the second time in 3 years. Last time the two teams met, Ohio came pretty close to pulling off a fantastic upset, but eventually failing on special teams, losing 26-17. Yesterday, though, was a completely different story as Terrelle Pryor led the Buckeyes attack on they're way to a 43-7 blowout.

It was a total team effort, as Pryor had a great day through the air, as he completed 22 of 29 passes for 235 yards and two scores with two interceptions. The interceptions came on two questionable decisions, but the Buckeyes are 3-0, and fans aren't complaining for Terrelle's turnovers. Ohio State's defense was also outstanding in the win, holding the Ohio offense to 163 total yardage, compared to OSU's of 438. Dan Herron had two TD's, while Saine had none.

A couple things stood out from yesterdays win.

- Pryor wasn't as dominate on the ground with 8 carries and only 35 yards.

- You don't see many safeties, but the Buckeyes got one yesterday.

Stoneburner was present in the game. Obviously.

- Jim Tressel did a good job of using he tight end more often, and that's been a big key. Usually, he uses them for a game or two, and then forgets. Stoneburner has produced well, so I don't think he'll be going away.

- DeVier most definitely won the Posey Bowl, with 5 catches for 62 yards, sometimes even beating his brother.

Ohio State is 41-0-1 since it last lost to another Ohio school in 1921.

- Lastly, Terrelle had a school record of 16 straight completed passes. The record was ended near the redzone on a shorter pass to Sanzenbacher over the middle. Previously, national champion Craig Krenzel, held the record at 12. Something to be said about that?
