#1 Alabama (-) - The Crimson Tide rolled, and I mean rolled over the Gators as if they were playing a MAC team! This game wasn't close, only further cementing the #1 spot for Alabama.
#2 Ohio State (-) - A scary close game along with injuries hurts the Buckeyes deeper than you think. If they don't come out firing against Indiana, pollers might have a serious problem putting them at #2.
#3 Oregon (-) - Down 21-3, the Ducks looked overrated and overpowered, much like the Rose Bowl. The Rose Bowl victory got even sweeter when Oregon came back to stomp all over Stanford's defense, and won big. The Ducks continue to get better, and pollers are noticing.
#4 Nebraska (-) - Bye Week
#5 Oklahoma (7) - Jumping some pretty good teams, the Sooners appear in the Top 5 thanks to a good game against Texas. Although they only won by a touchdown, the Sooners have 1 less game to worry about, and they are continuing to get better as the season progresses.
#6 Boise State (5) - Dropping down a spot to make room for teams that play legitimate opponents week in and week out, the Broncos had another yawn over New Mexico State 59-0.
#7 TCU (8) - The Horned Frogs started slow, but the defense came to the rescue, and got the car going again. An easy 27-0 win over Colorado State doesn't do much for them, but they are still undefeated.
#8 Arizona (13) - Bye Week
#9 Auburn (11) - Led by Newton, the Tigers are really picking up my interest. Newton had a 94 yard TD pass, and it only shows his explosiveness as a player, because the kid can run folks.
#10 LSU (12) - A last second win over Tennessee was ugly, but they won. Jerrod Johnson still needs to improve ten fold for LSU to survive the SEC.
#11 Utah (14) - Bye Week
#12 Arkansas (15) - Bye Week
#13 Miami (16) - A hard fought win over Clemson proved that Miami can roll once they get things going. Defense has work to do, and JaFOURy Harris needs to prove he can be consistent.
#14 Iowa (17) - A nice win at home over Penn St. 24-3 moves the Hawkeyes closer to a chance at a Rose Bowl, but they still have Wisconsin to play and Ohio State. Both chances to get in the spotlight once more.
#15 Stanford (9) - The Cardinals lost a pretty tough game to Oregon and the high flying offense. This team could use a consistent running game, and of course the defense needs an identity.
#16 Florida (10) - Just got dominated in every way possible by the Tide, and John Brantley is no Tim Tebow.
#17 MSU (20) - Finally jumping Michigan, the Spartans came out firing and upset the #11 team in the nation. The Badgers came out and got a smack in the mouth.
#18 Michigan (19) - The Fighting Velcros' relied on Denard's 494 yards to victory again, only winning by a touchdown to Indiana. The more I see this defense, the less I'm scared about an upset to these guys.
#19 South Carolina (18) - Bye Week
#20 Wisconsin (6) - Falling all they way to #20, the Badgers are hanging their heads in shame. They don't travel well, and they have to pay for it. They are 0-1 in conference play, and have to play catch up, which is a place you don't want to be.
#21 Nevada (24) - Really given the spot, the Wolfpack are still undefeated, but thanks to upsets, they move up three spots.
#22 Missouri (25) - Bye Week
#23 Oklahoma State (NR) - Big win over Texas A&M moves the Cowboys to 4-0, and a real shot at Big 12 glory. Let's see some more from this team to see how deep they can really go.
#24 Florida State (NR) - A 34-14 win goes a long way to put the Seminoles back in the Top 25, as they are 4-1. They need to build off this win and continue winning.
#25 Northwestern (NR) - The Wildcats are undefeated and looking to make some noise as they join the Top 25 for the first time, and Dan Persa will run all over your defense's so watch out Big Ten.
