| Come to Penn SCHATTTE |
For the Buckeyes to even have a shot to get a the Rose Bowl they need to win out in November, and it starts with Penn State. Apparently this is the most intriguing match up this weekend, because College Gameday is comin' to your city. The last time College Gameday had the Buckeyes on it, Ohio State got smashed 31-18 by the hands of Wisconsin, losing our #1 ranking, and knocking us out of the National Championship race.
The BCS Poll came out last night, and the Buckeyes rose to 9th. I was surprised that Stanford jumped us, simply because their win wasn't spectacular or anything, but it was a win over a ranked opponent in Arizona, and the Buckeyes had a BYE, so it equals out, I guess. Here's how the rankings look:
1. Oregon
2. Auburn
3. TCU
4. Boise State
5. LSU
6. Stanford
7.Wisconsin
8. Nebraska (lucky...almost lost to Iowa State)
9. Ohio State
10. Oklahoma State
So not a lot of surprise here, some may have thought TCU earned the #2 spot, but no go. Boise is still having trouble rising, and LSU upset Alabama, so I can see why they rose to 5th. The Tigers will lose again, I believe. Not sure if Nebraska wins out, Ohio State will, I think. Oklahoma State is hard to figure out, some weeks they are hot, others just look stone cold. We'll see later down the road, I guess.
BCS Know How's Take: "The bunch of four Big Ten one-loss teams are very fluid, and it could come down to showmanship and performance when we have to decide a Big Ten winner at the end of this season."
It's November! Crunch time for College Football teams!
