Ejuan Price Requests To Be Released From LOI

Price is taking his talents elsewhere
Woodland Hills High School linebacker Ejuan Price has seen the turmoil surrounding the Ohio State football program and decided he doesn't want to play for the Buckeyes.

Price, who signed with Ohio State in February, has requested a release from his letter of intent with the Buckeyes. Woodland Hills coach George Novak said Price requested the release a month ago.

It's also been said that he just didn't feel any stability there even before Jim Tressel resigned. Novak said Ohio State is supposed to let Price know Friday whether it will release him. Before Price chose Ohio State, his other top choice was Iowa, but he had other scholarship offers from Division I schools.

This is one of the first big blows to the Ohio State recruiting trail, but we also have lost a chance at super receiver JaQuay Williams. Williams was a life long Buckeye fan that would have came to Ohio State if it had not been for Jim Tressel resigning. We are talking about one of the best receiving recruits in the country. Now that we've picked up a few recruits in later classes, will Fickell be in big trouble for the 2011 and 2012 classes? It's now crunch time for the Ohio State recruiters, they have to show stability and that's hard to do when you know a hammer is coming down in August of this year, and you'll have a new coach at the end of this season.
