Mid Week Fun

Things are starting to to get busier around here as football season is only a mere 6-7 weeks away. Alright, that sounds a bit longer when you say it, but it's closer than a month ago! ITS is busy with some cool stuff, and looking for some new members as well, to keep you readers infatuated with us.

You should.

First off, we are looking for 2 writers once more. We need a basketball writer for basketball season (duh), and would like to add a third football writer. If you think you fit the bill, let me know in the comments section, or just email me at insidetheshoe2009@hotmail.com.

Your Weekly Sports Mash Up.

Cavs: Obviously that didn't go the way we wanted to. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you might have heard something about our best player leaving to go play with Bosh and Wade. Of course, then it got worse when Dan Gilbert, the majority owner, wrote a scathing letter to LeBum, stating that the Cavs would have an NBA Championship before Lebron does. Twitter put it best as one tweeter(?) stated, "This is the beginning of a long feud." Oh boy. For more on Cavs news, head over to Fear The Sword.

Reds: They went 3-4 this week starting last Sunday, finishing the Cubs. Then they played a 3 game series against the Mets, which was very important. We won that series 2-1. Thursday, we started a 4 game series vs. the defending NL Champions and have lost 3 straight. In extra innings. Travis Wood, last night, the Cincy pitcher threw a perfect game through 9 innings. Then a double ended that. In the 11th with the game tied at 0, Jimmy Rollins, who hit one of the walk off homers, was up to bat with 2 men on. Of course, he hit a base hit, sending them to a walk off win again. The Reds lose the series, but maintain a 2 game lead against the Cards in the NL Central. They finish the series against the Phillies today at 1:35, they're last game before the All-Star break. Joey Votto got the last spot in. For more on everything Reds, go to Red Reporter.

Bengals: Ochocinco said that this year will be the Bengals year to win the Super Bowl. Also, it's the year of the Tiger for that Chinese/Japanese calender. Also, it is rumored the first pick of the draft next year for the Bengals will be a running back. Analysts are thinking they go with Ryan Williams from Virgina Tech. It's never too early.

It's time again for you readers to have some fun (besides reading our posts, what's more fun than that?). This is ITS's second contest that consists of a prize for the winner. This is the first of hopefully many Fantasy Football leagues to come. If you win, you get a free item from our shop at Skreened! If you would like to participate, here is how you can join it.

First, you must have an ESPN account. If you don't, they are free and easy to access. After that, go to this link, and look for a button that says "Join League". It has a password, so only people who read this blog can get in.

After that, you can customize your team look, and then your ready for the draft. The 2010 Inside The Shoe Fantasy Football League Draft (mouthful, isn't it?) takes place on July 31st, 2010 at 12:00 P.M.

Also, we are all hurting because of what LeBronedict James chose last night. I have to tip my hat to Dan Gilbert, who gave a scathing letter out to Cavs fans..directed toward Lebron. There is no doubt that he has ruined his legacy, and can no longer be great as MJ. No, Kobe won't either. Remember the rape? Yeah, me to. Now it's time to go win a championship without him..we can do it, so says Gilbert.
