Your POW.

We haven't done a POW in awhile here at ITS, so let's get back into the mix. Last night, Evan Turner was selected 2nd overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA Draft. Turner had given hints to it a couple days before saying that a 76ers' fan came up to him congratulating him. I would like to say congratulations as well to Turner. He was one of the best to suit up in the Buckeye uniform.

Your POW.

The POW this week comes from the announcement today of whether USC gets hammered, or a slap on the wrist. Obviously were begging for the earlier mentioned pick. Reggie Bush, below is a big reason as to why. If you would like to suggest a picture for the POW, please send it to insidetheshoe2009@hotmail.com

UPDATE: NCAA tells us that they won't be coming out with the announcement today. Figures.

Your POW.

This week's POW comes from a Big Ten blog, who I wrote an article for yesterday. It's up over on there now. If you would like to see their blog, just click here. The Rivalry Esq. covers all Big Ten teams during the season of football, and even the off-season. I am a frequent reader, and enjoy their work, so I contacted them asking if I could do a post, They happily agreed, and I couldn't be more excited about it. Thanks again staff of TRE.

Your POW.

It's time again for the POW, which means the Spring Finals will finish the offensive series Saturday. This picture was due to last nights final collapse of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Once again they fell short of their goal. Now speculation is that Lebron will be leaving us for good. The thing I don't understand about the Cavs are the last minute and a half, they trotted up the court, half-heartedly shooting 3's and missing by a mile. Even when Mo Williams was shooting his hardest, he didn't make them. This is it, Lebron, it's decision making time. If you would like to suggest photos for the POW, please send them to insidetheshoe2009@hotmail.com and we will get them in!

Your POW.

Your POW comes this week from the Bengals. Today, they signed a 2 year deal with Adam "Pacman" Jones ensuring him of playing in the NFL again. A lot of Bengals fans are outraged by this, but I think it could end up making us better. If he still has the talent, with a lot less attitude, then you've got yourself a star player. I think it will make this team better. If he does act up, Mike Brown should know what to do. The Spring Finals will continue tommorow, so look for that! If you would like to suggest photos for the POW, please send them to insidetheshoe2009@hotmail.com and we will get them in!

Your POW.

This week's POW is covering some recruiting. Star safety Jeremy Cash, has received an offer not only from Ohio State, but now LSU, Tennessee and many more. The list keeps growing, but we hope to see him in C-Bus sometime next year. If you would like to suggest photos for the POW, please send them to insidetheshoe2009@hotmail.com and we will get them in!

Your POW.

This week's POW comes from last nights NFL Draft. Sam Bradford was selected first overall, but you see quarterbacks go first all the time. What you don't see too often are defensive tackles going second. Ndamukung Suh, the monster from Nebraska, as selected 2nd overall by the Detroit Lions. He will help a team that is already making strides to becoming a playoff contender next year. You heard it here first folks. If you would like to suggest photos for the POW, please send them to insidetheshoe2009@hotmail.com and we will get them in!

Your POW.

The POW this week comes from what will most likely be the case tonight, as Terrelle Pryor and the tight ends will be asking their questions as Pryor and company have to answer them. This is a pretty big deal, as Pryor hasn't said too much this off-season to the media, and we will be looking for what he thinks of the upcoming season. If you would like to suggest photos for the POW, please send them to insidetheshoe2009@hotmail.com and we will get them in!

Your POW.

I figured I would bump this back to Saturday seeing as Friday had a lot to do with spring practice opening back up, so here it is. I chose to put a Tiger Woods POW because he made his comeback at the Master's this week. Now, understand, I'm not a big fan of golf, but I do like Tiger, and he's an important sports figure, scandal or not. So that is why your looking at him. If you would like to suggest photos for the POW, please send them to insidetheshoe2009@hotmail.com and they will be posted!

Your POW.

This week's POW comes from a feel good moment of the Rose Bowl. Since after this, there will probably be tons of new spring football photos to hand out in the POW's this will be the last from the 2009 season. I chose this one because it looks like the Buckeyes are heading towards the future, as they should. As they load up for an MNC title run, we hope to meet them at the finish line with the same happy faces. If you would like to suggest photos for the POW, please send them to insidetheshoe2009@hotmail.com and they will be posted!

Your POW.

This week's picture of the week comes from last night's brawl between Tennessee and Ohio State. The game was a great one, but the Buckeyes couldn't come up when it mattered most. We wish Tennessee the best, and success. Although it's a bit negative, I think it's important to post. The picture of the week will be back regularly, starting this Friday. If you would like to suggest a picture for the picture of the week, just send us an email at insidetheshoe2009@hotmail.com.

Your POW.

This is the first POW we have done in about 2 weeks, so it's time to get back in the swing of things here. As you know, we did not have one last week due to the Big Ten Tournament taking place. With the NCAA March Madness Tournament starting today, (Join the Open Thread at 12 PM!) we won't really have time to post one. So, this week's picture of the week comes from the element of "March Madness" Plus, it has Evan Turner on it. How can you not like it? If you would like to suggest some photos, just email us at insidetheshoe2009@hotmail.com or tweet @InsideTheShoe, or even fire off a message at Facebook.

Your POW.

It's time for this week's POW. This is ITS's 5th overall POW, and it comes from Club Tril night at VCA when they played the final regular season game to win the Big Ten championship. Mark Titus, the lovable bench-warmer, who got, most likely, his last trillion Wedensday, showed some heart felt emotion towards to crowd wearing the Club Tril Shirts. Known as the Trillion Man March, people in hordes came out wearing their shirts, willing Titus for one more Trillion. We wish him good luck in the future. If you would like to suggest some photos, just email us at insidetheshoe2009@hotmail.com or tweet @InsideTheShoe, or even fire off a message at Facebook.

Your POW.

This is ITS's 4th POW, and you should all know, and cherish this. What with the Olympics going on and it almost being over, the USA hockey team is one match away from being in the final for gold. I thought I would commerate their miracle season when they upset the Soviet Union and then beat Finland in the final, for gold as well. This year's squad has been pretty good, upsetting Canada. We wish them good luck for the rest of the tournament. If you would like to suggest some photos, just email us at insidetheshoe2009@hotmail.com  or tweet @InsideTheShoe, or even fire off a message at Facebook.

Your POW.

Last week's POW

This is the 3rd POW from ITS. The picture this week is one that I made myself, as there were not many to choose from. As you all know by now, USC is facing punishment from the NCAA, if found guilty. Reggie Bush has said he will defend them no matter what (No, really?). The NCAA is also looking into the situation with O.J. Mayo, who was given special treatment on and around campus. The lawyers met today, which is good news for Buckeye fans, unless the SC lawyers do an amazing job. If you would like to suggjest some photos, just email us at insidetheshoe2009@hotmail.com or tweet @us, or even fire off a message at Facebook.

Your POW.

This is ITS second picture of the week, and we got a little love from it, so we will keep it going. If you would like to suggjest some photos, just email us at insidetheshoe2009@hotmail.com or tweet @us, or even fire off a message at Facebook. Today, we go off Ohio State for a little bit to honor the 13 game winning streak the Cleveland Cavaliers are on. Last night they extended it to 13, aganist Yogi's Orlando Magic team. To honor that, the POW will be Mr. James.

Congrats to Lebron and the Cavs for getting this week's POW.

Last week's POW

A look back in Buckeye History.

This will start a new thing here at INS (Inside The Shoe). Every now and then, we will look back to great moments in Ohio State history and recap what happend. Today we will be looking back at 1995 when we played Notre Dame here in the Shoe. The reason for doing this game is because it goes along with our POW. Let us know if you like this!

Ohio State - 45 Notre Dame - 26

The last time these two teams met before that day was 1935, which then, was 60 years ago. Last time the team's met, Notre Dame erased a 13-0 4th quarter deficit to win 18-13. Then, it was the the game of the century, and it seemed like it was.

This time around, when Notre Dame was ahead 20-14 in the 3rd Quarter, Ohio State was punting, and then Notre Dame squandered three straight chances to score, because of the next three possessions resulting in 2 fumbles and an interception. After some confusion on a punt return, Ohio State quarterback Bobby Hoying took advantage of the turnover and 3 plays later, scored on a 15 yard touchdown throw to Rickey Dudley which put OSU up 21-20. After an interception, on the heels of a 56 yard throw, Ron Powlus threw an interception. Then the Buckeyes proceeded with a 4 play drive resulting in an 82 yard touchdown throw from Hoying to Terry Glenn. The play was fairly short, but in the middle of the field, Glenn's speed was to much for the Irish.

That drive itself was enough of a statement to put fear into the Irish. Powlus's next drive resulted in him fumbling a snap, which lead to a third three play drive for the Buckeyes in which Heisman canididate Eddie George stormed into the end zone giving the Buckeyes the lead, 35-20. The Fighting Irish were inspired to keep playing, coming as close as 35-26, but the back breaker was certainly on the next drive where Eddie George broke free on a sweep to the left for 61 yards, and a Buckeye touchdown. Irish coach Lou Holtz gave credit to the Buckeyes saying that their big play ability gave them the win. Eddie George finished with 35 carries for 207 yards on the day. This was Eddie's 4th 200 yard game in his career and his second on the year. The win over Notre Dame gave John Cooper his first out of two wins that would come the following year aganist the Irish, and it would give way to a 11-0 start to the season. Michigan then proceeded to upset the Buckeyes 31-23 as Cooper's Michigan woes became more solid into his career. The Buckeyes followed up with another loss, this time to Tennesee in their bowl game that year losing to the SEC by a touchdown, 20-14. Eddie George did manage to win the Heisman despite those losses, giving the Buckeyes their 5th Heisman.

Your POW.

I feel like I should post again today, so I will start a new thing here at Inside The Shoe. Every week towards the end of it, we will have a famous, funny, or picture sure to be famous, from now on. If you would like to suggjest some photos, just email us at insidetheshoe2009@hotmail.com or tweet @us, or even fire off a message at Facebook. Either way, there will always be a picture up for awhile, unless you all just totally shun the idea, in which case, it will most likely cease to exist. Anyway, here is your picture of the week (POW)

It comes from an era of dominace. Eddie George, doing his thing.
