Buckeye Cagers embarrassing performance!!!!

Alright so I was in a good mood this morning till i started thinking about the absolute egg that the buckeye basketball team laid in Madison yesterday. Granted, I will give Wisconsin credit for playing mistake free and fundamental basketball. But, a team with the talent of the Ohio State Buckeyes should not be losing by 22 points in any game, even without its best player. There is talent on this team, but where is the heart. Unless Evan Turner is able to get back soon, there is a possibility that, with 4 of the next 5 games on the road, the Bucks could be sitting at 10-8. Even the lone home game in that stretch against Indiana is not a given, since they pulled off a win against Michigan the other night. Someone is going to have to step up or this team will be sitting at home in March. The best thing for us Buckeye Basketball fans to hope for is that Evan Turner comes back, and with the dynamic recruiting class coming in next year, this team will be a championship contender. Until then, lets hope that they can at least make it a game against Manny Harris and the Wolverines in Ann Arbor on Sunday. Buckeye B-Ball fans look for my insight next week, on the incoming 2010 freshman class!!!!!!

  1. Chris - Thad Matta is a gr9 coach, I like him. But I am not able to understand why he cannot devise schemes to get Diebler some good looks. Teams are having a hand in his face just way too consistently. Cos he is electric from outside the arc. Frustrating to see him bottled up

  2. Yogi - I agree with your statement about Matta. Although I do like Thad, he doesnt run an intricate offense, he looks more for matchups. I dont know what else Thad can do to get Diebler better looks especially since teams are going to double him and force other players like Lighty and Buford to beat them. Those two guys need to step up especially Buford who is too talented to be averaging under 15 a game. If these guys step up, then Diebler can get more looks until then we will just have to wait till the fabulous Mr. Turner makes his return.
