From all accounts, this game was a defensive struggle as both offenses struggled to move the ball. Iowas State scored all its points in the first half to lead 14-3. Minnesota was able to cut the lead to 14-13 and was marching down the field in the closing minutes of the game.With 4 minutes to go and the ball at the Iowa State 17, coach Brewster put rookie QB Marqueis Gray in to run and he fumbled the football, it was recovered by Iowas State and the rest as they say is just bad history.
With the loss, the Big10 is now 1-1 in the post season. Today is of course a big day for both the Big10 and the SEC with each playing 3 games.
