Recap: Ohio State 73, EMU 20

If you're a Buckeye fan, you can't be happier with yesterday's 73-20 win over the Eagles. Not only did we earn style points, as expected, but we also came out with no injuries, which was most important. Things got started quickly, when on the second play, Pryor cut towards the middle, and maneuvered his way to the sideline, back to the middle, and to the end zone. All this and still avoiding tacklers. EMU's defense looked like a high school team. Not since an 83-21 beating of Iowa in 1950 had Ohio State scored so much. The Buckeyes improve to 4-0, much thanks to the duo of Sanzenbacher and Pryor, both having 4 TD's with each other.

Pryor was all over the field this game, not going out until the 4th quarter, as he completed 20 of 26 passes for 224 yards and the four scores, rushed seven times for 104 yards and a touchdown and also caught a 20-yard scoring pass from his former high school teammate, Jordan Hall, late in the third quarter. Terrelle said after the game that Tressel told him if he drops the pass, just keep running through the tunnel. Sanzenbacher finished with nine grabs for 108, while Posey had 2 receptions for 34 yards and no touchdowns. Overall this is a very smooth offense right when the game starts, which is important.

Some things I noticed during the game.

- The defense was pretty good, causing turnovers, and wrecking havoc as usual. They didn't get as much credit in this game, simply because they were overshadowed for once by the offense. I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing yet, because it's only EMU.

- I didn't get to see the Jordan Hall pass to Pryor, but I'm sure it was awesome.

- The thing that most ticks me off is Berry's 67 yard run. I didn't get to see that either, and I'm sure you all know by know how I feel about his talents. (Later got to see replay..heaven.)

- Kenny Guiton finally got some decent playing time, and earned some more love after his 15 yard scamper into the end zone. With the Hall pass, I really wonder if Tressel might use Guiton in big game situations to either receive, throw to Pryor, or just take off. There are so many options that Tressel could have, just needs to use them.

Some real Tressel ball.

- I'm so excited that Tressel is keeping the same playbook from the Rose Bowl. Anyone notice that? It's really opened holes up for our offense, and I haven't been this excited about Big Ten play coming up in awhile.
