- Ohio State basketball was in action last night, taking care of business as usual in a 96-49 win over UNC-Asheville to move to 11-0 on the season. Lighty was on absolute fire with 29 points and 1 rebound and assist. William Buford added 14 points, Deshaun Thomas 13 and Jared Sullinger added nine points and 16 rebounds for the Buckeyes, and J.D. Weatherspoon had some of this. The Buckeyes next take on Oakland, who has been having a magical season of upsetting top teams in the country. This might be a bigger test for Ohio State then it seems at first glance.
- Uh-Oh -
"One day after Buckeye twitter Armageddon,#TatGate is thankfully nothing more than a four hour digital meltdown. When Dave Biddle, a guy that rarely ever tweets, dropped the "Could be some bad news" bomb and then followed it up with details of players meeting with compliance for getting free tattoos in exchange for autographs, responses ranged from thinking the worst (Bauserbombs in the Sugar Bowl) to cruel wishful thinking (perhaps it was the guy that jumps offsides all of the time). Biddle later backtracked somewhat and at least one current player took to Twitter to deny the rumor, so the storm has passed. We think."- 11W
- Duron Carter's ship has sailed, it appears, as a Buckeye. Either Tressel doesn't want him back because he's a bad influence, or he really can't get in because of the requirements. Tress will know what to do in the end, but we will sure miss having him. His first year here was very good, for a true freshman.
- The blogging world has receive a gift from the Big Ten gods. Big Ten Powerhouse has now hit the web, and we suggest if you're a Big Ten Basketball fan, you should head over and introduce yourself. It looks to be a fantastic site, and already has outstanding coverage.
